Developed specifically for the commercial wax processing industry, the
Magnum Wax-Slabbing Chill Plate incorporates the latest technology in manufacturing and
design for the Top-Fill-Wax-Slab molding process. The master plates are precision machined
from solid aluminum plate, and completely sealed to an aluminum top plate, with O-ring
seals. |
| They are made entirely from aluminum and stainless steel,
including the screws and drain pipes. There is nothing to rust. The plates are leak-proof,
yet easily disassembled for maintenance when necessary. They are designed to allow maximum
water flow at low water pressures, and internal channels and ribs provide even dispersion
of the heat during the cooling cycle. E-Frames Attached to the plate with stainless steel cap
screws, are rectangular aluminum bars precisely machined to produce two identical, slabs The
standard Magnum Chill Plate* is designed to fit what is considered to be the
most common size slabbing press. Each plate is pressure tested with air to
20 pounds per
square inch. It produces two slabs weighing 11 pounds each, or 22 pounds total. One
hundred plates produce one metric ton, 2,200 pounds. The stack height of each plate is 2
1/4". The outside width of the plate, excluding handles, is 25.25" + 1/8" -
0.0. The plates can fit into existing presses 25.50" wide or wider.
